New to the UK - a deep, innovative, certified Permaculture Design Course looking at how we can design better lives, land use, housing and communities. We will explore how to live in increasingly regenerative relationship with the systems around us, using well established permaculture principles and techniques to develop eco community patterns that nourish ourselves, other people and the wider ecosystems we rely on and live within.
This course will be a rich experience of community living and presencing, within which context we will explore the principles behind the wisdom and patterns of natural systems, and the powerful Permaculture design process that can support us to make more connected, more ecological win/win/win decisions for the designs and choices in our lives.
Jillian Hovey, the lead facilitator, is a Canadian permaculturalist with over 20 years of experience working in and with communities, creating paths towards health and sustainability. She is returning the UK to weave her pieces of the truth into the mix, which includes a strong focus on inter- and intra-personal work. The two support facilitators, Peter Cow and Steve Charter, both have years of experience in setting up, developing and living in eco communities in the UK and beyond.
The course will include a child-orientated program, to enable parents to attend the course with their children, and to enable the children to explore nature and Permanent Culture as well.
The venue is a beautiful campsite in Alfriston, East Sussex which backs onto the South Downs, in a valley a few miles from the sea at the delightful Cuckmere Haven. There are options of camping, caravans and local B&Bs.
